Chanting is a very profound and blessed method to increase our wisdom, compassion and receive powerful healing blessings.
The word puja is Sanskrit for offerings. A puja combines chanting and visualization with meditation. Pujas are a special method for ensuring success in our meditation by purifying negativity, accumulating merit, and receiving blessings.
The purpose of reciting prayers and mantras is to increase our faith, receive, Buddha's blessings and purify our mind, by doing so we build up protection from outer and inner obstacles, and receive powerful blessings that restore health, harmony and equilibrium within our body and mind.
We also greatly increase our wisdom and compassion and receive actual protection from many internal and external fears and dangers.
