About Buddhism

Buddhism is one of many major religions in the world. Buddhism was inspired by the teachings of Buddha. This religion is a way of life and should be practiced through your daily activities. It is centered on completing the whole of the individual, creating complete happiness. Buddhism can best be summarized by Buddha’s words:

Learn to do good,

Cease to do harm,

Control the mind,And benefit others.

Buddhism teaches its practitioners how to integrate the religion into daily life and use it to help solve problems and overcome obstacles by understanding the root of the problem and why the problem even exists. Typically, we look to external issues for the causes of our personal obstacles. However, Buddha teaches that to find the cause of a problem, we need to look inward. More times than not, our feelings of discontent of dissatisfaction sprout from negativity that we store inside ourselves. On the other hand, Buddhist teachings teach us methods used to eliminate these negative forces by building upon our compassion, generosity, and other positive attributes. By growing these positive states of mind, we are able to achieve an inner peace and strength that may not have been evident to use before.
